Preserving Our Nature

The Casa Bella Rita and its staff and owners are dedicated to helping conserve our resources and protecting our precious and endangered nature. We have initiated a preservation program for the nature and animals in the rapidly developing neighboring areas of Santa Ana and Ciudad Colon. Our staff is actively working on the preservation of the canyon and collaborating closely with the environmental protection agencies of the country in receiving official status as a refuge for animals. Native to the Canyon in front of our Bed & Breakfast  are, just  to name a few, Sloth, Monkeys, spices of cat, and many types of bird, including the precious Toucans (can be observed on occasion from our private and secluded sun deck).  

How can you help?

It's easy. Simply leave Costa Rica cleaner than you found her. When on the beach, maybe just picking up one piece of trash on your way back or supporting the local beach vendors (that bring you refreshments and look after you) so that they in turn can continue to keep the beaches clean and safe. Every little gesture counts and will be so appreciated by all!
